Trying to explain to someone how QA work ... works.
I ended up equating it to buying clothes. Specifically shoes. Because apparently lots of girls like to buy shoes. (Not me, I loathe shopping for any kind of clothes. I buy what works and wear it until it doesn't work anymore, then I buy another set of the exact same thing... if it is still made.)
So I explained that when you are testing software or hardware, it is like buying a pair of shoes.
If the shoes do not fit, you maybe try a different pair of socks. If they still don't fit, then you take them back.
